2. Collection and storage of personal data

When you visit our website, information that your browser transmits automatically is stored automatically in what are known as server log files. This information is:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request
  • IP address (anonymised)

3. Contact form and email enquiries

If you send us enquiries via the contact form or by email, the details you provide in the enquiry form, including the contact details you enter there, are stored by us in order to process the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions.

The data entered into the contact form is processed solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation, referred to below as the GDPR).

4. Data processing on our own server

The data submitted through our contact form as well as through the support and enquiry forms is processed and stored exclusively on a server that we operate ourselves (VPS). There is no longer any transfer to Supabase or other third-party providers.

The data flow is as follows: form entries are received by a self-hosted automation instance (n8n) and stored in a MariaDB database that is also self-hosted. Both n8n and the MariaDB database run on our own VPS and are administered by us.

The server is operated at Hostinger International Ltd. (Hostinger) in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The data submitted through our forms remains entirely on this server in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR is in place with Hostinger. For transfers to third countries in connection with the analytics service described below, please see the section on Google Analytics 4.

The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract, or performance of a contract), where your enquiry is aimed at concluding a contract.

5. Cookies

This website uses only technically necessary cookies and, subject to your consent, optional marketing cookies. The following data is stored in localStorage:

  • laufwerk-theme: your colour scheme (dark/light)
  • lw-cookie-consent: your cookie consent

6. Google Analytics 4

This website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The associated measurement script (gtag.js) is delivered via the googletagmanager.com domain. Measurement is activated solely on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG, the German Act on Data Protection and Privacy in Telecommunications and Digital Services). Without your consent, measurement remains deactivated via Google Consent Mode v2 (all storage types are set to denied) and no cookies are set.

If you have given your consent, Google processes information about your use of this website (including a truncated IP address, pages visited, time spent on the site and device information) in order to compile statistics on website use for us. Data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the United States in this context. This transfer to a third country is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified, and additionally on EU standard contractual clauses (Articles 44 et seq. GDPR).

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future via the cookie settings (shield icon at the bottom of every page).

7. Your rights

You have the right:

  • under Article 15 GDPR, to request information about the personal data we process about you
  • under Article 16 GDPR, to request the rectification of inaccurate data without delay
  • under Article 17 GDPR, to request the erasure of the personal data we hold about you
  • under Article 18 GDPR, to request the restriction of processing
  • under Article 21 GDPR, to object to the processing
  • under Article 20 GDPR, to receive your data in a machine-readable format
  • under Article 77 GDPR, to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

8. Withdrawal of your consent

You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time. An informal message by email to info@laufwerk.cloud is sufficient for the withdrawal.
